Roland S. Heard Biography:

A native of west Georgia, Mr. Heard spent his childhood in the small town of West Point.  Upon graduating from Auburn University, he worked in many different facets of accounting beginning his career at Ernst & Ernst, now Ernst & Young, moving to Washington D.C. to work for the Rural Electrification Administration (REA) where he was responsible for setting and interpreting accounting and auditing policy for electric and telephone borrowers of REA.  His position gave him the opportunity to testify before the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB). 

He then moved to the Office of Revenue Sharing- US. Treasury, where he served as an Auditor-Principal reviewing audit reports from county and municipal governments.  Later he worked for NRECA International, Ltd. where he served a two-year personal agreement to work as a financial advisor to the Rural Electrification Board in Bangladesh.  Upon completion of his term in Bangladesh Mr. Heard has been a Sole Practitioner offering CPA service to a wide array of clients. 

With over 40 years of practical experience, Mr. Heard offers the entire CPA services package, from Individual Tax returns, Business Tax returns, Personal Financial services and planning to Compilations, Audits and Reviews.  Having served overseas, Mr. Heard understands the financial complexities of those in the Foreign Service and has represented foreign service clients before the IRS.
